JARED:
I don't know how I can put my gratitude into words. I've been through so much and this is help like I've never received before.
ANDREW QUIGG:
Since its inception, this program has gifted over 1,100 vehicles to veterans and veteran organizations across the country. And by the end of today, that number will surpass 1,200.
LISA:
You've served. You've sacrificed. You've kept moving even when life was hard. And while yes, the vehicle is a gift, it represents freedom and momentum. For some it's a way to get to work. For others, it's how they're going to take their kids to school or to get to their medical appointments. But at the heart of it, every key we hand over says, we see you, you matter, you are not forgotten.
SPEAKER 1:
It is our honor and privilege to present you with this vehicle today. May you use it to move forward, live fully, and pursue your dreams.
SPEAKER 2:
We are so happy to present.
SPEAKER 3:
Thank you so much.
GEORGE:
My vehicle barely functions. So this has literally saved my life. And now gives me the time to get the right kind of job that will allow me to be able to support myself.
SPEAKER 4:
Thank you, Father.
JOSÉ:
I served three tours. It's like I just came back home and I finally feel the support that I didn't receive when I actually got home.
LIZ:
The last thing you ever want to think about is your concern of your transportation.
AKEBA:
But I'm very grateful for this opportunity and grateful for the people who allowed it to happen.
MOLLY:
And the gift of this van is going to change my life, to be able to travel all over Minnesota and be able to reach out to the veterans and the military in need. I'm so excited.
SPEAKER 5:
Progress. Progress in the making. Progress in the making.
